Founded by the late Masutatsu Oyama, Kyokushin is Japanese for “the ultimate truth”. Oyama took in various martial arts styles and techniques at the time, and added his personal philosophy of hard training, commitment, and life principles, to produce a full contact style of karate. Practiced world wide today, and internationally renowned, Kyokushin is commonly regarded as “the strongest karate”.
